Glenn L. Fountain Sr.

November 13, 1945 - January 09, 2019

Glenn L. Fountain Sr. Glenn L. Fountain Sr., 73, of Plattsburgh, died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2019, with his loving family by his side, under the care of Hospice of the North Country. He was born in Plattsburgh on Nov. 13, 1945, to Oreal and Eleanor (Bourdeau) Fountain.
Glenn loved his hunting and camp, where he spent many days fixing up anything needing repair, cutting trails, setting up his deer stands and cameras. He loved to fish, especially ice fishing with his wife Faye, in their shanty. He also liked to go to the casino, but seldom won and said "I just like to donate." He liked to tinker in his garage and have a few or more (Genny Lights).
He was predeceased by his father, mother, stepdaughter Jessica Bouvier.
Glenn is survived by his wife Faye and his son, Glenn Fountain Jr., his daughters, Melody Lambert and her husband Greg, Melissa Matott and her husband Dale, stepsons, Jeromy Stone, John Tyndall and his wife Jessica, fourteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; his brothers, Oreal II, Gary and his wife Elaine, Robert "Bobby," William "Billy" and his wife Angie, and sister Margie Francis and sister-in-law Judy Kendrick.
"Please don't weep, lose sleep, or worry about me. Be happy for the days we had together. PS, have a few beers."
At Glenn's request, there will be no public calling hours or services. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery in the spring.
Arrangements are entrusted to Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh, New York, (518)561-3980. Online condolences may be offered at

My dear friend Faye, I thought reading these condolences would make me cry. They did bring a tear to my eyes first, but then everyone's memories of Glenn mentioned his big smile and happy nature and I couldn't help but smile, thinking of that smiling face of his. Just picturing him can make people happy. What a great gift he had. He won't be forgotten, that's for sure. You are on my mind and in my prayers.

I am so sorry you had to say Good- bye to such a special wonderful man in your life. I too have very fond memories of Glenn when I was young, house parties - growing up- camping - when my husband would hunt downstate with him - all of you at my wedding & even seeing him at the hospital & stopping in when I had my babies. He was always the same - smiling, kind hearted, full of life, as I’m certain everyone knew & loved him... and how he would want to be remembered! Nothing can replace the loss you will feel, but his loving memory will help you get through your grief. I pray that you will find peace & comfort in knowing he is always with you in your hearts! ❤️ My sincere condolences & ((...HUGS)). Jody Fountain PardyRead more

Glenn was one of the most cheerful people I had the pleasure of knowing in my days at CVPH. He always had a smile and a kind word. I know he is watching over you, Faye, and will be in your heart forever, along with Jessica. I hope they are sharing a few beers together in heaven!

You are in my thoughts and prayers. Love and condolences to you and your family.

Glenn was always a smiling and supportive friend and coworker. Even in retirement other then not wearing greys he was the same smiling and energetic Glenn with a quick witted thought and a
north country laugh. I will miss him.

Faye I'm so sorry for your loss. Glenn was truly a great man. I will always remember his smile. We remember back in the day we used to have so much fun. Think of the YMCA dance. Glenn was surely having a good time that day. I'm sure he's in heaven already setting up camp. We are here for you whatever you need. Hugs and prayers to you and your family.

My grandfather the strongest man I know. Always was a hard worker and never complained about anything no matter what the case was. Had so many good memories together from dancing to singing to laughing, especially at camp. You will be missed so very much and I cannot wait to see you again. Rest easy .
