Gilles's Story

Gilles Gerard Bouchard passed away on Sunday, Feb.25, 2018 at Good Samaritan Hospital in West Palm Beach, Fla. from respiratory complications with his companion of 24 years by his side, Mrs. Joan Mussaw.
He was a building contractor in the north country since the early 60's building pre-engineered manufacturing & storage; buildings along with homes, apartment & office buildings. His last major project was one of the largest inland fresh water marina's in the northeast, now know as the Treadwell Bay Marina.
He was born in Mistassini-Dolbeau, QC. and his family settled in Beauhnois, QC. Eventually he relocated to Plattsburgh were he began his business, married and had four sons. Gill of West Chazy, Dominique (wife Susan) of Freeville, N.Y., Martin (wife Elleana) of Chazy and Jerome who has passed away. After his divorce he had a 5th son Jordan Ribis (wife Rachael). He is survived by nine grandchildren and 12 nieces and nephews.
He was the second oldest of 10 siblings, five boys and five girls. He is survived by three sisters, the oldest Cecile Plamondon of Melochville, QC., Marie (Lawrence Roussy) of Port Lucie, Fla. of Plattsburgh, Denise (Davis Wood) of Dover, Del.
He enjoyed going to see shows in Montreal with family and friends, the view of nature and wildlife from his beautiful home he built in Loon Lake and being on that Lake.
The Family is Planning to have a service this spring at the Lake.
