Frank E. "Tiny" Thompson, 85, of Dannemora, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2017, at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington, Vt.
He was born in Dannemora on Jan. 25, 1932, the son of Frank I. and Pearl A. (Brown) Thompson.
Frank served in the U.S. Army from 1950 to 1954. He was a proud Veteran and was a member of the American Legion Post 1618 in Saranac, the VFW Post 1466 in Beekmantown, the DAV Post 179 in Peru, and Post 1619 in West Plattsburgh. Frank was also a former member of the BPOE 2052 in Keeseville. He also was a member of the Saranac Volunteer Fire Department.
Frank worked for several years at the Harlem Valley Psychiatric Center in Wingdale, N.Y.
Survivors include his cousins, and many close friends.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2017, in Saranac Independence Cemetery.
