Florence L. LeClair, 75, of South Barre, Vt., formerly of Merrill, N.Y., died Monday, Dec. 11, 2017, at the UVM Medical Center, Burlington, Vt.
Born in Chateaugay, N.Y., on Aug. 8, 1942, she was the daughter of Leo and Lumina (Patenaude) LeClair.
Florence was employed for many years at Tru-Stitch in Malone and later as a housekeeper at the Vilas Home in Plattsburgh, retiring after many years of service. She enjoyed crafting, puzzle books and watching TV in the evening with her companion, Bill. She was a kindhearted, loving, generous person who enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Wendy and Aphichart Nantasaeng; two grandchildren, Hunter and Rachel Nantasaeng; three great-grandchildren, Alice and Kellen Nantasaeng and Emmitt LaPoint; her companion, William "Bill" Sharpe and his three children, Charlene LaCroix, Anna Holmes, Rose Baier; a sister, Cynthia LeClair; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Raymond and Mabel LeClair, Lawrence LeClair as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, Leo and Lumina, two sisters, Grace France and Margaret LeClair, two brothers, Donald LeClair and Ernest LeClair and his wife Margaret.
There will be a prayer service held at the Chateaugay Funeral Home on Thursday, Dec. 21 at 2 p.m.
Burial will take place at Immaculate Heart Cemetery, Churubusco, in the spring.
