I remember when the mccoys moved to our little school in Lyon Mountain, and how protected she was of her boys and daughter. She would volunteer for some of our functions in grade school and tell me where she came from. I couldn't imagine a single mom with 4 children coming to such a small rural area. She I though was very brave and later I considered her a friend, along with her children. May you rest in peace and finally learn how to relax. So sorry for her boys Bill, Dennis and Patrick. Sending love and hugs and prayers....

Erla was one of a kind. She could be gruff on the outside, but had a heart as big as all outdoors on the inside. Quick to laugh with a great sense of humor. It was a pleasure to have known her and I know she will be greatly missed.
