Ellie was credit to her profession and the community. We will always carry her memory in our hearts. She will be missed.

I've known Ellie for some 25+ years. We met in graduate school at UVM, both getting our Master's in Nursing, and we collaborated many times on "group" projects. I recall happy summer visits to Sparrow's Nest on Chazy Lake, kayaking on the lake or hiking nearby Lyon Mtn. We even had a rendez-vous in 2014 in the New Orleans area, when I was visiting my daughter there and she and Ed were enjoying their winter travels in the south. I recall a very delicious dinner and a wonderfully pleasant visit that evening in their first RV. I, too, looked forward to her postcards describing their cross country ventures every winter. Reading about their good weather and great food helped me to momentarily f...orget about the bitter cold and biting wind in northern VT! I have always thought of her often over the years, and have nothing but good memories, and will continue to think of her often and fondly, and remember the good times. Thank you, Ellie. Even though I did not see you over very recent years, I am sorely missing you.Read more

I'm so thankful that Margaret brought us together. We had a great time in Nebraska getting to know each other and you meeting the brothers. I looked forward to your post cards during the winter months. I just wish we had more time together. I love you Big Sister.....Michele

This world lost a wonderful, caring, and compassionate woman. I knew Ellie for many years and she helped me get my life back.
I'm sending prayers to her family and friends to help get through this difficult time. The world may have lost this great woman, but God gained an angel.
