Mrs. Eleanor Tregan, 90, of Plattsburgh, N.Y., passed away Thursday, April 12, 2018, at the Meadowbrook Healthcare Facility. She was born in Saranac, N.Y., on Aug. 6, 1927, to Roy and Ruth (Haig) Cane.
She enjoyed many activities, bowling, working in her flower and vegetable garden and traveling. Eleanor was an avid volunteer at the Peru Community Church. She married her husband Ted Tregan July 28, 1955. Eleanor's greatest pleasure was to spend time with her grandchildren.
She is predeceased by her parents, her husband, her brother, Irving Cane, and her sister, Marion Yatter.
Eleanor is survived by her son Thomas and his wife Theresa Tregan of Chazy; two grandchildren, Elizabeth (Thomas) Whitcomb and John Tregan, a great-grandchild, Katherine Whitcomb and several cherished nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh. A funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Gods Acre Cemetery in Peru on Wednesday, April 18, 2018, at 10 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to the Peru Community Church.
