Edward R. McKinley, 68, of Military Turnpike, passed away March 8, 2018, at the CVPH Medical Center with his loving family by his side.
Ed was born on April 11, 1949, son of Edward McKinley and Dorothy Bushey McKinley.
Ed served in the United States Navy from 1968 to 1974. He then went to work for the Town of Plattsburgh Highway Department from 1978 until his retirement in 2010. Ed enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, going to camp, riding motorcycles with his friends and he was always one for having a good joke to tell. He will be greatly missed by family, friends, and anyone who knew him.
He married the former Linda Martineau on July 31, 1999.
He is survived by his wife Linda and his mother-in-law, Marjorie Martino. He is also survived by his brothers, Kenny, Randy and Adam McKinley; his sons, Edward McKinley III and his wife Jessica, Rand Garrand and his wife Zhana; daughters, Jennifer Garrant and her husband Christopher, Roxann Garrand and her companion Albert Hendrie, and Nichole Garrand and her companion Josh Mashtare. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren, Dameon, Kayleb, Kolby, Dustin, Devin, Jacob, and Jericho McKinley, Aaron DeCoste, Lily Garrand, Jeffery Garrant, Tiffany Andrews, Cassidy Andrews, and Zoe Mashtare; and several nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his parents and brothers, Roger and Alvin.
At Ed's wishes, there will be no calling hours.
