Edward N. Agnew, 87, of Mason Street, Morrisonville, passed away peacefully Monday, July 24, 2017, at home, surrounded by his loving family and under the care of Hospice.
Mr. Agnew was born in Plattsburgh on Sept. 4, 1929, the son of Napoleon and Melvina (Sulia) Agnew.
Ed married the former Jane Turner on April 16, 1955, in Morrisonville. He spent 39 years working at Diamond International. Ed enjoyed camping with his family at Monty's Bay Campsite for 42 years.
Survivors include his wife Jane Agnew of Morrisonville; one son, Edward "Grit" Agnew Jr. and his wife, Melody of Morrisonville, their daughter, Heidi Agnew and her companion, Jay Anderson and son, Shawn Agnew; two daughters, June Agnew of Champlain and her daughter, Kari-Lynn Agnew and daughter, Rebecca Martin and her husband, David of Poughkeepsie; brother, Elmer and sister, Betty.
Calling hours will be held from noon to 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 27, at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh, followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Committal Prayers and burial will follow at St. Alexander's Cemetery in Morrisonville.
Donations may be made to Hospice of The North Country.
