David W. Jandreau
David W. Jandreau, 84, of North Bangor, died Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2017, at the Alice Center, Malone.
He was born in Bandon, Oct. 29, 1932, the son of Charles and Pearl Smith Jandreau.
Mr. Jandreau was a self employed handyman, who worked on weatherization projects, farm work, and the Malone Town Highway Department.
A Korean Veteran, he joined the U.S. Army on Mar. 28, 1950 and served until July 31, 1953, when he was honorably discharged.
He was a communicant of St. Augustine Church, North Bangor, and a member of the Brushton-Moira American Legion.
Surviving are two sons, Craig of East Rochester, N.Y., Timothy and his wife Faline of Plattsburgh, a daughter, Marlene Jandreau of East Rochester, a sister, Nancy Caloren of Ogdensburg and a sister-in-law, Rebecca Jandreau of Constable; four grandchildren Curtis, David, Jennifer and Christopher Jandreau; several great-grandchildren and four step grandchildren.
The family will receive friends beginning at 5 p.m on Friday at the Spaulding Funeral Home until time for the memorial service in the funeral home at 7 p.m. Interment will be in St. Augustine's Cemetery, North Bangor, later this year.
Memorial gifts in his honor may be given to the Bangor Fire Department or the Alice Center Recreational Fund.
