David R. Dupuis, 54, of Route 22, passed away unexpectedly on Jan. 21, 2018, at his residence.
He was born in Plattsburgh on Jan. 5, 1964.
David graduated from Northern Adirondack Central School. David worked for the family business for many years and then worked with his brother hanging drywall. Most recently, he was employed as a custodian at Plattsburgh State University retiring due to medical reasons. David loved being outdoors and could always be seen "tinkering" with something, mowing the lawn, or riding his tractor.
Survivors include his father, Richard Dupuis and his wife Kathy of Ellenburg Center; mother, Carol Bedard of Plattsburgh; brother, Michael Dupuis of Ellenburg Center; sisters, Hope Wall and her husband Colin of Ellenburg Center and Michelle Pelkey and her husband Shawn of Cadyville; nieces and nephews, Jacob Pelkey, Aliyah Pelkey and Dakota Wall and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by one brother, Jimmy "Beaver" Dupuis.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2018, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Rabideau Funeral Home in Ellenburg.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. Edmund's Church in Ellenburg.
Donations in his memory may be made to the Ellenburg Center Fire Department.
