With heavy hearts, the family of Cathy A. St. Hilaire, 62, announce her passing on Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018, at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh, N.Y. She was comforted and surrounded by her loving family at her side.
Cathy was born on March 7, 1955, in Malone, to the late Myron and Alice (Jock) Martin. She was a 1973 graduate of Brushton-Moira High School. On Jan. 26, 1974, Cathy united into marriage with Richard "Dick" St. Hilaire at St. Mary's Church in Brushton, N.Y.
Cathy was a hard worker, working throughout the area over the years with many years as a waitress and also many years teaching her boys the value of hard work on the family farm. For the past 16 years, Dick and Cathy have proudly owned and operated the Countryside Mobile Home Park that was established by Cathy's parents, Myron and Alice Martin, in 1975. She gave an abundance of love to her family and always carried a sunny attitude wherever she went. Cathy also had a wonderful sense of humor and always was quick to say funny remarks around family and friends and always spoke her mind. She loved camping, and traveling with Dick. Cathy embraced life and treasured the moments spent with her family and friends. When her children were younger she was very involved as a 4-H leader for the Bangor Rangers. Cathy was known as "Mom" to more than just her own children as she embraced everyone around her and they embraced her.
Treasured memories will forever be in the hearts of her husband Dick, and her children, Alan and Elizabeth St. Hilaire of West Chazy, Brian and Alicia St. Hilaire, West Chazy, Corey and Mindy St. Hilaire of Glenville, and David St. Hilaire of Moira.
