Carla Jean Mace, 65, of Ormond Beach, Fla., passed away on March 20, 2016, at her residence.
Carla was born in Plattsburgh, N.Y., July 12, 1950, the daughter of Gerald "Jiggs" Franklin Mace Sr. and Margaret Teresa Sawyer. She graduated from Keeseville High School.
Carla was a registered nurse at St. Margaret's Center in Albany for many years and also cared for handicap foster children in her home.
She was a loving mother to Cory (Angela) Mace, Kyle Mace and niece Crystal (David) Abner; also survived by her mother, Margaret (Sawyer) Demaris; four sisters, Priscilla (Lloyd) Watson, Robin (Gary) Burke, Rita (Steven) Coons, Karen (Raymond) Garrow. She was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend.
Carla was preceded in death by her father, Gerald "Jiggs" Mace Sr.; and her brother, Gerald "Jerry" Mace Jr.
A public memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 17, in the Harkness Cemetery, Harkness, N.Y.
Donations in her memory may be made to the Harkness Church.
