Bruce K. Mitchell was born July 31, 1933, in Salt Lake City, Utah. He passed away on Feb. 14, 2018, in Elizabethtown, N.Y., due to extended illnesses.
He is survived by his wife, Annette, his sister, Mavourneen, his daughter, Lori, his five sons, Kirk, Scott, David, Bruce and Dale,
19 grandchildren and their children.
He graduated from the University of Utah. He made his living as a photographer; navigator in the U.S. Air Force for 14 years, and loved
living in and painting the Adirondack scenery for more than 40 years with a gallery in Keene, N.Y.
He was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints all of his adult life. He loves his family and taught what he wanted us to learn by trying to be a good example of it. He was dutifully tenacious and creative in serving in whatever job, calling or service
he was responsible in life to do.
A funeral will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2018, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Chapel in Plattsburgh, N.Y., on 22 Dennis Avenue at 10 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions towards travel to his final resting place and home state, Salt Lake City, Utah, may be made to President David White, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 52 Cedar Ridge Dr., Saranac Lake, NY 12983.
