Bridget's Story

Bridget R. Lee, (67), of the Peasleeville Rd., passed from this life into the arms of The Lord Jesus Christ on April 29, 2017. She was surround by her loving family when she went to be with the Lord.
Born in Staten Island, N.Y. June 27, 1949 as Bridget R. Coolidge, Bridget was the first daughter born to Harold and Louise Coolidge.
Bridget graduated from Beekmantown Central School in 1968 and a year
later from the Syracuse School of Cosmetology. Subsequently, Bridget met the love of her life, Gregory Lee and they were married on August 22, 1970.
Greg and Bridget settled in Peasleeville and built a life together, raising two wonderful children.
Bridget spent the next 47 years being a wife, mother, and grandmother.
Additionally, she did many activities to serve her family and the community including: being a teacher's assistant at New Life Christian Academy and also at Peru Central School. She also sold Avon and Scentsy products as an independent representative. In 2011, Bridget became disabled and retired from the Peru Central School District.
Mrs. Lee was loved by her students. Always quick to point out the obvious and use the wooden spoon when needed. She will fondly be remember as the loving mother who cared enough to discipline those she loved.
Left to cherish her memory are her parents, Harold and Louise Coolidge Sr.; her loving husband, Gregory Lee; daughter, Kristen (Michael) Gilpin; son, Gregory T. Lee II; granddaughters, Spc. Chelsea (Kate) Johnston, Caitlyn Johnston, Courtney Johnston; sisters, Charlotte Vaughn, Carolyn (Steven) Maicus, Margery (Richard) Mahuta, Vivian Barrett; brother, Harold (Teresa)
Coolidge Jr.; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, May 3, 2017.
The service will be held at the First Assembly of God, 164 Prospect Avenue, Plattsburgh, NY 12901. A reception will follow the service in the reception room downstairs in the church.
