Beverly J. LaJoie, 91, of the Vilas Home and formerly of Dannemora, passed away Feb. 10, 2018, at the CVPH Medical Center.
She was born in Potsdam, N.Y., on Jan. 5, 1927, the daughter of George and Audrey (Russell) Tolman.
Beverly graduated from Potsdam High School in 1945, and then attended Adirondack Commercial School in Malone, graduating in 1946.
She married Lawrence LaJoie on Aug. 30, 1946, at Notre Dame Church in Malone. Lawrence predeceased her on Jan. 2, 1987.
Beverly worked for the Farr Agency, the Caulkin Insurance Agency and then for the LaBarge Insurance Agency in Ellenburg Depot, retiring in 1998.
Survivors include her children, Michael and Claire LaJoie of Liberty, N.Y., Linda and Athan Criaris of Pennsauken, N.J., and Sally LaJoie of Champlain; four grandchildren, Lawrence LaJoie, Nichole Phipps, Carrie LaJoie, and Katrina Criaris-Owad; and five great-grandchildren, Ella, Madison, Sarah, Alexa, and Amara.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2018, at 2 p.m. in the R.W. Walker Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will take place in the spring in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Dannemora.
