Beulah Ann Desautels


Beulah Ann Desautels, 93, of Stafford Road, Plattsburgh, N.Y., passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2019, at Meadowbrook Healthcare in Plattsburgh. She was born in Sioux Falls, S.D., on Jan. 17, 1926, the daughter of David and Marie (Brewer) Engles.
Beulah was a member of St. Peter's Church in Plattsburgh. She enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening and spending time with her family. Beulah was a member of the YMCA Senior Fitness Group and an exercise instructor for the Eye Care Senior Fitness Group.
She was predeceased by her husband Stanley Desautels Sr., and infant son Joseph; her brothers, Horace and Henry Pinkerton, Richard and Raymond Engles; her sisters, Ellen Stephenson, Dorothy Hansen and Ruth Songstad and a son-in-law, David Bilow.
Grateful for sharing Beulah's life are her six sons and their spouses, Stanley (Kate) Desautels Jr., Michael (Diane) Desautels, Philip (Teresa) Desautels, Ross Desautels, Steve Desautels, and Christopher Desautels; and her four daughters and their spouses, Ann-Marie Bilow, Michele (Kenney) Gladd, Colette (Greg) Saucier, Noelle (Erik) Mesunas; ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, several sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law, and many nieces and nephews also survive her.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2019, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 16, 2019, at 10 a.m. at St. Peter's Church in Plattsburgh; burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Due to health issues Beulah's family request no flowers; donations may be made to Interfaith Food Shelf.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad Street, Plattsburgh, NY 12901.
