Bernard E. "Bernie" Reome Jr. 69, of Broadwell Road, passed away Sunday, August 13, 2017 the UVM Health Network-CVPH with family by his side. He was born in Plattsburgh on Jan. 7, 1948, the son of Bernard and Margaret (LaPorte) Reome, Sr..
Bernie was employed as a Corrections Officer at Clinton Correctional facility for 30 years until his retirement. He enjoyed golfing and spending time at his winter home in Florida. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and his fur kids Lilly and Boots.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, his best friend, Toni (Parry) Reome; his children and their spouses, April and Mike Miner of Peru, Scott Reome of Morrisonville; his mother, Margaret Reome of Morrisonville; his sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Frank Provost of Cadyville; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Kathy and Kevin Kezar, Russ Parry, Diana and Ted Toth; his grandchildren, Lexi, Brayden, and Tanner; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father Bernard E. Reome Sr.; a sister, Betty O'Neill; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Winnie and Russ Parry; and a brother-in-law, Ricky Parry.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at 11 a.m. at St. Alexander's Church in Morrisonville. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
Memorial donations may be offered to the Elmore S.P.C.A. or the Morrisonville EMS.
