Barbara Rougeau, 87, of Palmer Street, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2017, at the CVPH Medical Center.
She was born in Plattsburgh on Nov. 10, 1929, the daughter of Joe and Jennie (Jessey) Dubuque.
Barbara married Carlton Rougeau and together raised their three sons. She enjoyed raising her family and she also ran Barb's Ceramic Shop in Plattsburgh for several years.
Barbara enjoyed having a get together with her friends for breakfast or lunch and especially going to her favorite salon to have her hair done by her wonderful friend Kim Williams who she loved dearly.
Survivors include her son, Francis Rougeau and his companion, Nancy Jenkins of Plattsburgh; one brother, Kenneth Dubuque of Beekmantown; two grandchildren, Tiffany (Steve) Mangum and Scott Rougeau; two great-granddaughters, Alexis and Abbie; and several nieces and nephews.
Barbara was predeceased by her husband in 2001; two sons, Elric Rougeau and Carlton Rougeau Jr.; and three siblings, Janet Dubuque, Bernard Dubuque, and Beverly Bouchard.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 11th from 12 to 1 p.m. with funeral services following at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
Burial will take place on a later date in St. Peter's Cemetery in Plattsburgh.
