Arnold Albert Stone Sr.
Beloved Husband, Father, Pepe, Brother, Uncle, Son, passed away Oct. 26, 2017, at CVPH Medical Center. He was surrounded by his loving family. He left behind his best friend of 51 years, Molly T. Stone, his four sons and their wives, Arnold A. Stone Jr. and Carrie; James H. Stone and Lena; Kevin J. Stone and Janelle; Keith J. Stone and Jennifer. He is also survived by his father, Herman A. Stone Sr., and Patricia, Uncle Calvin and wife Anne, Uncle Leon, Uncle Ralph and wife Viola. His brothers and sisters, Nancy (Lawrence) Mitchell, Sally (Gilbert) Garrant, Arthur (Daisy) Stone, Larry Brown, Peggy Rivers, Larry (Krista) Stone, Dennis (Jack) Stone, Norean (Leon) Durocher, and Lynn (Bruce) St. Pierre. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Autumn, Olivia, Ariana, Michael, James, and Ashley Stone; nieces, nephews, numerous cousins, and friends. He was predeceased by his mother, Ruth A. Dubuque, and his brothers, Junior and Ricky Stone. He is sorely missed by those he left behind. He served his country with honor from 1961 - 1964 in the U.S. Marine Corps, then from 1986 - 2003 in the Army National Guard. Funeral arrangements will be handled by Ross Funeral Home, Mooers, N.Y. A simple chapel service will be held at Old Soldier's Chapel at the US Oval on Monday, Oct. 30, 2017, at 11 - 11:30 a.m. A celebration of Arnold's life will be held at the American Legion Post 20 beginning at 11:30 a.m. A lifetime is never enough. Arnold was a man who put his family above all else. He loved to make people laugh, played mandolin, and guitar, and was an avid fisherman.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Arnold's name to the Wounded Warrior Project.
