Annette was born on May 22, 1960, to Joe and Laura Fancher in Cobleskill, N.Y.
Annette was a graduate of Cobleskill High School, class of 1978. Annette then attended SUNY Cobleskill, and earned a degree in Applied Science.
She worked for New York State, then opened and operated New York Bandit Trucking, a business in which she took great pride in. Annette was a pioneer in the industry as a woman truck driver and business owner, breaking stereotypes of woman careers.
Annette enjoyed traveling to Florida in the winter, spending time with her cherished nieces, Laurie Ann Mycek (Carter) and Amy Drollette-Stickle (Carter), along with their children, Eva, Mia, Jay, Jaxson, Jasper and Nadia. She also enjoyed long rides in her Corvette and Harley with her husband Ken and enjoying coffee or a meal with her friends and family.
She is survived by her beloved mother, Laura Fancher, her husband, Ken Carter, sister, Becky Carter (Fancher)and husband Jeff, nieces, Laurie Mycek(Carter), her husband Jay, Amy Drollette-Stickle (Carter) and her husband William, her stepchildren, Leigh Carter and Paula Carter, and several great-nieces and nephews.
Annette will be remembered by all that knew her for her courage, grace, class and character.
There will be no calling hours. Mass and burial will be at the convenience of the family. Friends may make a donation in her honor to American Cancer Society or Camp Ta-Kum Ta.
