Amber's Story

Text size

Amber Lynn Griffith (Wells), from Fayetteville, N.C., passed away in her home with her family by her side Nov. 28, 2017. She was born July 21, 1985, at CVPH; Plattsburgh, N.Y., to Roberta Fountain Schmid. Amber attended AuSable Valley Central School and graduated in 2003. She then attended Clinton Community College the following two years.
Amber had a particular love of all things beauty and will be remembered for sense of humor (distorted), her kind spirit, inner strength and spirituality. Amber loved music, "her crystals," travel and of course Candyman Chocolate! She was creative, compassionate, and will never know the "light" she was for so many.
Amber is survived by her husband Eric Griffith, mother Roberta Fountain Schmid (Paul), grandmother Goldie Fountain, her Dad, Mike Denis, her sisters, Alicia Wells and Erica Wells, and brother Catlin Denis. Also Jeff and Julie Griffith and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins. Special mention of the man she called Dad, Mike Denis, Scott Joy, Ryan and Jon and of course fur babies Walter and Winnie.
Amber will never know the lives she had impacted on her journey. All her friends from North Carolina and those who had traveled from all over the country to attend Amber's services and Celebration of Life used the phrase "she was my best friend." Amber had the ability to make friends at first meeting; friendships that withstood the test of time and could span across hundred of miles!
Many didn't know the gravity of the situation and that is how she wanted it! That is how much she loved her family and friends! Always Strong...Always Courageous....Always for Others... until her last breath
