Aaron's Story

Aaron J. Cormier, 31, of Bradford Road, Plattsburgh, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 10, 2017 in Cortland, NY.
He was born in Plattsburgh on August 6, 1985 the son of Henry and Heidi (Hailey) Cormier.
Aaron was a 2003 graduate of Saranac Central School. He worked in construction, awaiting entry into college in the fall.
Aaron had a zest for life, he was a best friend to everyone, and when he was around he made sure everyone was happy. He loved being an Uncle, he lived for fishing with his nephew, Brendon. His need for speed often got him in trouble but was a representation of how large he lived.
Survivors include his parents Henry and Heidi of Plattsburgh; sisters, Wendy Krapowicz and her husband Jon of Swanton VT, Chantal Cormier and her companion John Clemons of Peru; nephew, Brendon Beyor; nieces, Alexis Beyor, Harper Krapowicz, Piper Clemons and Morgan Clemons. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Aaron was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, John and Elizabeth Cormier; his maternal grandparents, Cora and Alvin Hailey; and his uncle, Robert Flick. He was also predeceased by several close friends. Aaron is now at peace with his best friend, his dog, Kingston.
Calling Hours will be held on Monday, April 17, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church in Dannemora.
The family requests that donations in memory of Aaron may be made to Champlain Valley Family Center, 20 Ampersand Drive, Plattsburgh, NY 12901. Champlain Valley Family Center is a private, non-profit community based organization that is dedicated to providing substance abuse treatment, prevention, education and related support programs to promote the well-being and quality of life for the residents of Clinton County.
